Ada-Borup-West Public School District is announcing the 2021 Summer School Program.
Ada-Borup-West Public School District Summer School Program is an extension of the regular school program that provides an opportunity for all students:
to reinforce skills learned during the school year
to explore new areas of interest not available during the regular school year
to complete regular course work for credit towards grade advancement
This year, we will be working on four focus areas. Students will rotate through fun and enriching activities in language arts, math, STEM, and social emotional learning. A team of teachers and support staff will be providing instruction through eighteen two-hour sessions. There will be two weeks of sessions in June, July and August. This program is free of charge for all students.

Thank you Ada-Borup Elementary PTC for the donation of these great water bottles! A bottle was purchased for every student in grades PreK-5. The bottles will be washed and remain at school for students to use each day.

Christmas Cookie Decorating with Dena
This virtual Christmas cookie decorating activity with families is an amazing opportunity to have some fun decorating Christmas cookies via zoom with a local expert ! To register, respond in the ECFE Google classroom stream, with a "Yes, we want to decorate cookies!". You must register prior to 9:00 am Saturday, December 12th, and the cap is for the event is 20 families -first come first served. We must have your email and invite you to this event to register.
Your cookie kit will be free of charge (1 per family) with expenses being covered by the Ada-Borup ECFE program. You can pick up your cookie kit from Dena Bishop at her home ( 202 3rd Ave. West in Ada) between the hours of 10 AM and 4:30 PM on Monday, December 14th. The Zoom meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 15th from 5:30-6:00 pm. The link for the Zoom meeting will be posted in the ECFE Google classroom.
A big "THANK YOU" to Dena Bishop from Copper Cafe Baked Goods for dropping of some great baked goods today for our staff. I wish I would have taken a picture before they were all gone, but they were SO GOOD that they didn't last long.
The 4th graders are planning and shopping for a Thanksgiving Dinner today. They have $100 to spend and need to buy 11 items from specific categories. Great skills for the future!
The culinary team served their famous Thanksgiving meal today for lunch, and WOW did they outdo themselves! We are truly grateful!
That huge "THANK YOU" to River's Edge Insurance Agency of Halstad for providing our students with backpack/jacket lights! Thanks for helping keep our kids safe on their way to and from school.
